witch's deposition

with a crochet hook i took apart your skyscrapers
scraped them down to grains of sand
o the folly of man

with the heat of my deviant heart i melted down the ground
into two panes on my face
and saw again

through the lens of the whole of the circle
up the spiral of time
i pulled a shower curtain down and found a cowering child
i told her she was clean
she could cling to me
and on the gryphon's back we climbed

i prefer a furry feline to the company of men
suppose that makes her my familiar
i would rather call her friend

we hop a broom and zoom down central avenue
where the women work the wind
we are sworn to them

we cast to unmask the marauders
and their fetishistic ways
stick pins in their soft dolly bellies
give 'em labor pains
put an end to the cold of their stranglehold
and the darkness of their days
we chase away

here's the witch's deposition
do with it what you will
while i fly off on the gryphon
i have conjured with a quill
